Found on a doorstep in Seoul, raised in Minnesota, I spread my wings in Chicago where I earned a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Right after graduation, my most memorable job was driving a horse carriage in downtown Chicago. In addition to quipping historical tidbits to tourists over my shoulder, I groomed, hitched, fed, hosed down my horse, and yes — shoveled the manure — plus, wore a vintage top hat.
I have 13 years of experience managing all aspects (aka “wearing all the hats”) of the e-commerce business I founded, including developing an innovative crafting process for the novelty book product, staging product photography, sparking free word-of-mouth advertising by making strategic social media posts (via channels such as Reddit, Imgur, and Instagram), and developing relationships with influencers for cross-promotion.
As copy editor The Wanderer weekly Catholic newspaper, I executed 100% of the layout design of the 16-page printed edition using Adobe InDesign; I also did major copy editing and proofreading which included meticulous fact-checking and verification of biblical citations. To hit a strict Thursday deadline, I successfully coordinated the layout — which had to be nimble for evolving stories — for over 80 issues.
I strive to cultivate good connections that lead to creative collaborations, so a great day’s work is when I’m able to harmonize with many viewpoints while staying true to my own voice and vision.

so I delight in doing design work for my home parish.
